Toshiba Dynadock Universal USB 3.0 Docking Station (PA3927U-1PRP)

Since I keep changing laptops for work, it had been pretty hard to find a way to create a home office with all the amenities less the connectivity issue when I get home with my work/personal/business computer. Toshiba docking station solved it all with a fraction of the price that I paid for my other docking stations. It is universally compatible with all the laptops running windows (bad news for apple). Set up was a breeze. Under 10 minutes. I would suggest this to everyone who needs universal compatibility and save some money.

Very easy to install with the CD provided, although after checking with Toshiba`s web site I found out they had released a newer version of the driver. Have already plugged in a 46'' Sharp TV, a 21'' monitor, Bose home theater, a WD HDD, HP scanner and the DSL modem...everything works fine so far. Hope it will last! Go for it.

Griffin Technology GC16034 Elevator Laptop Stand

This stand looks great, works well (MBP 15") and was easy to assemble (just snap a couple pieces together, very obvious what goes where). It's stable enough for the computer to rest on and helps a lot with heat dissipation. I wouldn't plan to put much underneath it though as the legs will get in the way a bit, though a couple textbooks might fit well. Also, it's just not stable or solid enough to accommodate typing. The entire unit shakes and the screen will be all over the place even for a light typer. Perfect for a keyboard or external monitor setup though, or even just a charging station.

I love this stand. It's pretty easy to transport when I need to use it somewhere else, there's space to place things under it (like my moleskin sketchbook), and it fits in well with my modern desktop. This is a great piece to have if you have a secondary monitor that you prefer to work from and an Apple magic mouse and keyboard.
